Suspension globe opaline space age

Suspension globe opaline space age 1960-1970. Chandelier / suspension globe in opaline glass bicolor orange and white. Its pop color and its typical shape transports us to the space age / ufo / saucer current of the 1960s. The thick glass provides a warm, subdued light. The globe is removable, it is fixed to its support by three screws ending with chrome spheres. The metal structure is made of chromed brass and steel, with a very good finish. The height of the suspension can be adjusted by a steel cable connecting the part carrying the globe and the fixing cone of the suspension (blue domino in the photographs). The electrical wiring has been redone by a professional for added safety. E27 large base screw socket (bulb not supplied). The globe is in excellent condition, no cracks or chips. The chrome part has some traces of wear, and in its non-visible part the chrome flakes (top view on the photographs). Suspension height 59 cm. Height of the globe 31 cm. Maximum width (globe) 32 cm. Weight: about 3 kg.
