Vanilla PH5 lamp, P. Henningsen for L. Poulsen

An icon of Danish design in a beautiful vanilla finish. The PH5 lamp, designed by P. Henningsen in 1958 for Louis Poulsen, from the 1980s-90s. Its unique form impresses with the lightness of the design – it became an icon of lighting design for a reason. The lamp is based on the principle of a reflective system of four shades, which directs light not only downwards but also to the sides, thus illuminating the lamp itself. A characteristic feature of Henningsen's lamps is the gentle, diffused light directed downwards – not dazzling to the viewer, also allowing the lamp to be admired from every perspective. The model is equipped with a diffuser that softens the light from below. Dating: 1980s-90s. Condition: Minimal signs of age. Cord length approx. 200 cm.
