Soapstone paper press. Born in 1958, ross became a full-time sculptor at the age of 17. His love for nature and wildlife led him to create beautiful stone sculptures including a large bear that pierre e.trudeau gave to princess diana and prince charles for their wedding. Ross's preferred stone choice is canadian steatite and soapstone mined in the eastern townships about 200 miles from his workshop. Each piece is unique and hand-carved.
