Ryozo Taniguchi. Glazed stoneware vase. H: 24.5 cm. D: 16 cm. Ryozo Taniguchi (1926–1996), trained under Kiyomizu Rokubei VI, was selected for the Nitten exhibition as early as 1951 and received numerous awards, including the Japan Ceramics Society Award. His works, renowned for their blue and green glazes in his later periods, are part of the imperial collection.
