Atomic Brass Ceiling Light in Modern German Mid-Century by Dorothee Becker for Cosack, 1970s

Vintage design. Rare ceiling or wall lamps in the shape of a Cosack atom based on a design by Dorothee Becker from the early 1970s. A truly impressive design. On fine rods extending from a central hemisphere, there are 11 light points. Alternating with them are brass-coloured spheres. The bulbs and spheres create a high density and blend together to form a luminous body that appears to extend dynamically. The spectacular whole rests on a mirrored brass disc that doubles the elements and further enhances the luminous effect. A hollow base at the back of the disc creates a shadow space and separates the fixture from the ceiling or wall. No bulb included.
