Spiral staircase for library made of mahogany wood

Dimensions: Total height with balustrade: 144 cm. Height without balustrade: 66 cm. Step height: the first step is 23 cm, the second is 18.5 cm, and the third is 24.5 cm. Width of a step is 54 cm. Weight: > 8 kg. Country of origin is uncertain, but by analogy with other models we have deduced that it was made in the Netherlands, which was a major importer of raw materials from Latin America, including in the first decades of the 20th century. The staircase is made of fine wood, stained and finished with authentic period hardware. The wood is a brownish-purple color, specific to mahogany. The wood grain is in good aesthetic condition, with no cracks or major defects. The joints are slightly cosmetically repaired with a resin-based filler, slightly darker in color. The periodization is based on the original hardware elements, which are characteristic of the period from 1900 to 1950, and on the type of polish used. No industrial varnish was used and there are no traces of restoration, stripping, or other interventions.
