Rare pair of Art Deco glass columns in solid walnut – renovated

Pair of Art Deco display columns in solid walnut – fully renovated Elegant pair of antique display columns in solid walnut, with slender proportions and beautiful decorative carved work. Designed as mirrors, they create a particularly harmonious ensemble and can be placed side by side or separately, on either side of a fireplace, console, or mirror. They will also easily find their place in a dining room as china cabinets, in a dressing room, a bathroom, or a library. The pair is in very good condition and has been fully renovated with care. The wood has been carefully sanded and then protected with a clear matte oil finish, which preserves the natural hue and highlights the grain of the walnut. The interior has been painted in a soft Almond Milk shade, delicately contrasting with the natural wood. The shelves have been kept in raw wood. Each column has three shelves: the top one is fixed, and the two lower shelves are adjustable in height thanks to a rack system. The doors are adorned with antique bevelled glass. The Art Deco handles add a lot of character to the whole, and both locks are functional. The furniture is sound, stable, and solid. As always with antique furniture, they retain discreet marks of their history. Notably, there are a few rare old woodworm holes, which do not affect their sturdiness. Dimensions of each column: W47 × D47 × H160 cm Height of the feet: 12 cm Bevelled glass: W25 × H44 cm Shelves: W39 × D39 cm Height between shelves: approximately 30 cm Sold as a pair. Their narrow and vertical format allows for the creation of a true architectural composition in a room while offering compact storage. A unique pair, both decorative and functional, that fits well in both an antique and a very contemporary interior. Each piece of furniture is sourced, selected, and renovated with care in my workshop. I have been working alone for nearly 10 years and have renovated nearly 1,000 pieces of furniture, with a particular specialisation in antique wardrobes.
