A pair of vintage wall sconces in chrome metal with their original textured glass globes. They date from the 1960s-1970s and belong to the mid-century decorative style that combines shiny chrome with floral decor. Revised Art Deco style or Hollywood Regency. Each sconce features a twisted rod resembling rope, a flower-shaped wall rose, a scalloped collar beneath the globe, and a clear, moulded glass globe with a ribbed design, decorated with beads and a small flower in the centre. Height of each sconce: 37 cm, including the globe. Diameter of globe: 17 cm; Wall depth to globe: 19 cm. The metal is chrome-plated, the shades are made of moulded glass, and the sockets are E27 standard. The wiring is European (brown, blue, and yellow-green). No manufacturer's mark. The design and craftsmanship suggest Italian production or more broadly continental European from that era. They are well-suited for a hall or corridor, on either side of a bed or mirror, around a console, or in a dining room or living room when looking for a slightly precious vintage touch, without a large chandelier. The glass diffuses a soft light, highlighting the pattern, suitable for both bedrooms and living spaces. The condition is excellent for their age. The chrome is shiny, the globes are complete and without chips, and the original sockets and wiring are still in place. The only flaw concerns one sconce (the one on the left in the photos of the two): the small tip at the bottom of the twisted rod is missing. Once the sconce is on the wall, it is hardly noticeable. I only noticed it when disassembling them. Careful shipping. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.
