French officer's cabin trunk, mid-19th century

A unique French officer's cabin trunk from the mid-19th century. In good condition. The trunk is made of solid camphor wood with brass fittings and leather straps. The leather straps show visible repairs. The trunk has two spacious, ventilated drawers. The key is missing. The trunk belonged to an officer who was most likely stationed in Algeria. A beautiful piece with a history of its finest craftsmanship.
