Large Vintage/Industrial/Scandinavian Chest of Drawers

This four-drawer chest has had several lives over the past 40 years, incorporating elements of each style it has embraced, from vintage and Scandinavian to industrial. With its pleasing proportions, it has spanned decades, always adapting to current decorating trends. When I acquired it, it was entirely black. I opted to strip and then varnish the fronts and the splayed legs of solid beech, creating a pleasing contrast with its black composite handles, the metal plates that adorn them, and its overall color. Height 86cm x Length 100cm x Depth 45cm. Its black paint shows some understandable signs of use, and the crossbars have developed some slight irregularities, but these do not hinder its functionality. The wood is sound, and the structure is light and stable. Its large drawers open smoothly and stay closed when fully extended.
