Superb earthenware plate with a geometric floral design, resolutely Art Deco in style, elegantly blending golden yellow, pale blue, soft pink, and deep black on a warm ivory background. The decoration is finely stylized, punctuated by graphic flowers and delicate foliage, typical of the transition between the 1940s and early 1950s. The shape is particularly elegant with a wide rim featuring a gadrooned edge and a thin cobalt blue border, details that enhance its sophisticated and decorative appeal. This plate has a strong visual presence, ideal for both a beautiful table setting and a wall display. No maker's mark or provenance indicated. The workmanship and aesthetic are characteristic of the 1940s–1950s, a period of transition between Art Deco and the post-war era. Diameter 28.5 cm, height 3 cm. Good vintage condition, no cracks or chips. Beautiful glaze, minor surface scratches from use. Ideal for a revisited art deco interior, ultra chic and very current.
