Pair of vintage beds Marcel Gascoin 1950

Pair of oak twin beds by french designer marcel gascoin. These double beds with light lines date from the late 1940s. This set is a piece perfectly representing post-war design in the taste of rené gabriel, auguste perret or jean prouvé who wanted to create design, practical and robust furniture while being easy to manufacture in order to quickly refruble the population. This set of two beds is very rare for sale, few copies have gone through all these years. This set can very well serve as an extra bed in a small space or in a holiday home. It can also serve as a bench by putting cushions on the back and sides and that at any time can turn into a bed again. Both beds are in good condition. They are stable and strong.
