He was also one of the leading interior and textile designers of his time, and is known for championing swedish craftsmanship against functionalism. Among the characteristic elements of its design, we can cite the luxurious and rustic shapes as well as the perfectly mastered details of the wood. He also made furniture for the swedish royal family, and founded the most recognized school of fine nordic carpentry.
