"Shell" chair with sled base by Pierr Guariche for Meurop 1961

Chair model "Shell" by Pierre Guariche for Meurop. Model with a so-called "sledge" base, produced in very limited quantities in 1961. Shell in yellow polypropylene, base in black lacquered steel. In vintage condition, with some signs of use and wear on the base, marked oxidation on the lower part of the structure, shell cracked at a rivet. Condition likely due to outdoor use. Overall attractive appearance, particularly rare model. Dimensions: Width: 51cm, Depth: 50cm, Height: 73cm, Seat height: approximately 44cm.
