Gien earthenware dish – “the crested lapwings” – signed eb, 1960s/1970s. Discovered at a flea market, this magnificent decorative dish from the gien factory immediately caught the eye. Two elegant and proud lapwings stand out against a pale green background with a subtle glaze, framed by an elegant braided relief border. The scene is poetically delicate: a frozen moment of nature, between balance and movement. Dated to the 1960s–1970s, this dish is part of the naturalist series produced by gien france, renowned for the quality of its earthenware since the 19th century. It is signed "eb", probably a decorator or artist of the house, and bears the authentic marks of the workshop: the stamp "gien france", the handwritten letters "tj" and the mold mark "qij". The stamp without the castle crown allows us to date it to the 1960s/1970s. Ideal as a wall decoration, a centerpiece, or to display in a display case, this dish combines tradition and modernity. A beautiful object that tells a story—yours, perhaps. Dimensions: approximately 31 cm in diameter excellent condition, no chips or defects.
