Brutalist mirror attributed to Jean Goardère. A trained artisan and coppersmith, he created utilitarian and decorative objects through hammering from a sheet of copper or tin. Best craftsman in France in 1955 for Prestige and luxury trades, awarded the "French Good Taste" in 1969. Work of hammering and tin soldering, copper edging, the back is covered in wood. From the front, the contrast between the tin and the copper reed is interesting. Signs of time for this object that has traversed the ages! Dimensions: width 27.5 cm, height 38.5 cm, thickness 2 cm. Weight 1 kg. A beautiful object that will find its place in any setting. Careful shipping. Feel free to check my page, other vintage items available.
