Soveno foot ashtray 50s

Black metal and brass stand-up ashtray from the 1950s, stamped soveno and made in france, with mentions on the back of the lid. Its modernist design, almost minimalist, is in line with the creations of french designers of the time (pierre guariche, paul geoffroy etc.). The matte black of the metal brings out the brilliance of the brass pieces, at the base of the foot and around the edge of the ash receptacle. The push button is made of black bakelite and the wheeled mechanism, patented s.g.d.g. (without government guarantee) works perfectly. This ashtray is in good use (see photos for details) and particularly stable with its foot weighted by a cast iron weight. A beautiful vintage piece and very useful when you are a smoker or when you receive it.
