Pairs of Louis XVI style bedside tables with mahogany and marble curtains.

I am selling a beautiful pair of bedside tables (or side tables / end tables) in the Louis XVI style, made of mahogany and mahogany veneer. These are sought-after and rarer models due to their sliding curtain front system (tambour door). Features and condition: • Front: Each bedside table opens with a curtain of fine slats at the top and a drawer at the bottom with an original brass knob. Both curtain mechanisms slide perfectly and very smoothly. • Top: White veined marble tops, in excellent condition (no cracks, no chips). • Finish: Surrounded by a lovely openwork brass gallery. • Legs: They rest on four tapered and fluted legs, typical of the neoclassical style. • Dimensions: Height approx. 70 cm, Width 40 cm / Depth 30 cm. Very sound furniture, clean inside, stable and elegant, perfect for classic, chic decoration or to add character to a modern interior.
