Designed by Ray and Charles Eames, the Aluminum Group office chair is one of the major design creations of the 20th century. Produced by Vitra, its main characteristic is its judicious assembly of materials to achieve maximum comfort: the covering is fixed and stretched on the side aluminum profiles, thus becoming a supporting element of the structure. The Aluminum Group design has been studied to fit the shape of the body. The structure of the Vitra office chair has an adjustable rear tilt mechanism and possible locking in the forward position. The seat height is infinitely adjustable by gas spring. The backrest and seat are padded and covered in black leather. The structure is in injected aluminum.
