Empire style round mahogany table – extendable – 19th or early 20th century. Superb Empire style table in flamed mahogany veneer, resting on four cylindrical legs connected by a cross brace. Each leg is decorated with finely chiseled bronze rings, typical of the Empire style. The top is round and opens in the center to accommodate an extension leaf (not included in the photos). The original hardware is still visible under the top, with an old hook locking system. The whole is elegant, understated and of high craftsmanship. Characteristics: Flamed mahogany veneer. Old hardware under the top. Ormolu ornaments (decorative rings). Solid mahogany brace. French work, late 19th or very early 20th century (circa 1880–1920) Approximate dimensions: Closed diameter: 120 cm. Height: 75 cm. Condition: Very good structural condition, original patina well preserved, some slight traces of use on the top.
