This wall mirror adopts a bold octagonal shape, highlighted by a polished brass frame. An original work by the Belgian artist Frankie d'Homborchveld, it was probably made in the 1980s. The artist, influenced by his time spent with Berber artisans in the Moroccan Atlas, transposed the rhythm and precision of traditional copper techniques into his mirrors, giving them a contemporary decorative dimension. The mirror is hand-signed at the bottom of the frame and bears the artist's characteristic hallmark. The reverse, also covered in brass, features the handwritten inscription "Période 1333 Fort Jaco", accompanied by drawings and a logo, confirming its provenance from the Galerie du Fort-Jaco in Uccle (Brussels), an emblematic place in the chic and cultural district in the south of the Belgian capital. Condition: good general condition, with patina of use and some micro-scratches visible on the brass, typical of an antique mirror. Dimensions: 47 X 50 cm.
