Art Deco or Bauhaus desk in metal covered with leather, Gio Ponti style.

In this advertisement, you will find a striking office desk in Art Deco or Industrial Rationalist style designed in the manner of Gio Ponti. Due to uncertainty regarding the designer of the piece, we are advertising it as "in the style of" as it bears a strong resemblance to a desk designed by Gio Ponti for the Palazzo Montezatini in Milan, one of his major architectural projects in the city. The desk is made of metal and is in its original condition, having had a fine layer of linoleum on the metal surfaces. Due to its condition, we decided to clean it, remove the linoleum, and cover it with leather, resulting in the piece you can see in the photos. The table was made in Italy, where we purchased it. It is estimated to have been made in the late 1930s. Currently, it is in very good condition, restored and covered in natural green leather.
