An explosion of colors from the south with this octagonal plate. A typical handcrafted piece from Santo Stefano di Camastra, a Sicilian village renowned for its ceramic expertise since the 17th century. Entirely hand-painted by the Céramica La Maga workshops, it features a vibrant floral decoration in poppy red, saffron yellow, and deep blue tones, enhanced with a very graphic ornamental border. Every detail exudes Mediterranean authenticity: we can already imagine this radiant piece on a summer table, as a serving plate or transformed into a colorful trinket dish, or even hung on the wall like a painting. Undated but probably from the 1980s and 1990s, this plate was crafted in the tradition of popular Sicilian earthenware. It bears the mark on the back: Céramica La Maga – S. Stefano C. (abbreviation of Santo Stefano di Camastra). Diameter 21 cm, height 2 cm. Very nice vintage condition, no chips or cracks. Shiny glaze, fresh colors. A favorite piece, perfect for a vacation home, a bohemian kitchen, or a collection of southern ceramics.
