Divan-banquette called "Studio Couch" – Mid-Century Design

Rare and elegant divan-bed, an iconic model from the 1950s-1960s, reminiscent of the productions of the famous British manufacturer Ercol (Lucian Ercolani style). This model stands out for its airy structure made of bent solid beech and its tapered "compass" legs, typical of the Scandinavian and modernist aesthetics of the time. The two side backs, with a curved shape, feature an elegant gallery of vertical spindles that give the whole piece a remarkable visual lightness. The seat, of a generous size, has retained its original (or style) mattress with a floral patterned upholstery. Materials: Varnished solid beech (or elm), textile. Period: Circa 1960.
