Pair of Bauhaus armchairs by Slezàk, K29 model, Gispen-Thonet 1932 design

Pair of black leather bauhaus armchairs and lace-up beech armrests, thonet licensed design of the famous S-411 armchair by Gispen 1932, edited by Slezakove Zavody in Prague under the model number K29 in the 1940s to 1960s (and recently reissued by the same company). These chairs are probably an edition of the 1960s, the closure of the chrome steel tubes by a plastic cap excludes a 1950s edition. They were retaped in black leather in 2017, and the beech armrests were subjected to a black multi-layered laquis (as is practiced for high-profile pianos). The chrome tubular structure has been left in its original state: in excellent condition in the upper parts, it is stung at ground level and requires regular preservation at the Mirror. In return, she gives these chairs their "certificate of authenticity" that too meticulous a renovation would have compromised.
