“Point du Jour” marquetry secretary desk with floral decoration

Lockable secretary desk. Opening with a flap transforming into a shelf 27cm forward (total open depth of 64cm). Inside, 3 drawers and a second retractable wooden shelf complete the surface of the desk (usable in 42 cm depth). Plenty of storage available above and below the drawers. Curved, with arched feet, in veneer wood inlaid with flowers and fillets. The opening tablet is covered in green leather. Gilded bronze ornamentation. Period: second half of the 19th century.
