Very beautiful sandstone vase with salt partially enamelled by richard dewar. Richard dewar (1949). Richard and justine dewar live and work in locoal-mendon. Their pottery workshop is located at keryavec, through the village of clozo. Richard dewar studied as a ceramicist at the bath and harrow art schools before establishing his business in forest of dean, england. In 1979, richard and justine moved to france in avessac, in the loire-atlantique. In 2007 they built a house-workshop in locoal-mendon, morbihan, where they mainly made sandstone pieces with salt, as well as some rarer pieces according to the raku technique. Richard dewar's work has been seen in numerous exhibitions in france, england, germany, new zealand and japan." 21*15.
