Rare antique cast iron umbrella stand from the famous foundry Deville, Pailliette & Cie of Charleville (Ardennes), model no. 33, dating from the late 19th century (circa 1890-1905). Its elegant openwork design, with sinuous lines heralding Art Nouveau, makes it a piece that is both decorative and functional. It is equipped with its original removable bowl, intended to collect water from umbrellas. The cast iron is marked "Deville, Pailliette & Cie – Charleville – no. 33". The old paint, in a delicate water green/celadon tone, has been cleaned with very fine micro-blasting, restoring its shine without obscuring the details of the casting. The piece shows a beautiful patina and is perfectly stable. Some signs of rust. An authentic piece, ideal for an entrance, a character home, or an interior combining antique furniture and contemporary decoration. Very good structural condition. Sound cast iron, with no breaks or repairs. Normal signs of use related to its age. Shipping only by carrier, due to its weight and great age.
