Roger Colas in Clamecy: Important faience vase with a baluster shape and wide flared neck, decorated with an elegant polychrome floral design. The main decoration consists of a rich bouquet of flowers treated with finesse: peonies, tulips, and small flowers in shades of pink, blue, and green, enhanced with yellow and orange details. The whole is framed by reserves and rocaille cartouches in shades of pink, typical of the decorative repertoire of the 18th century revisited in the 19th century. The border, neck, and base are highlighted with a strong pink glaze, providing an elegant decorative contrast against the slightly crackled cream background. The reverse bears a handwritten inscription (numbering or workshop mark), with no visible printed mark. Very beautiful decorative presence, ideal as an ornamental piece or for a large floral composition. Dimensions: Height: 60 cm. Period: 19th century. Origin: Roger Colas in Clamecy. Material: Glazed faience. Condition: Good overall condition. Slight signs of use and wear at the base. Natural cracks in the glaze (craquelure).
