Philips model nb23 by niek hiemstra 1959. Niek hiemstra is mainly known for his own lamp factory evolux. However, here you see a design for philips, thanks to louis kalff who recognized niek’s talent early and asked him to design a series for philips. The lamp has been modified in the past by the old owner. Originally there is no pulley system in between but a metal bar. And this is probably not the original diffuser. The condition is very good. Variable in height: 60 cm to 150 cm, diameter 45 cm.
