Here is a set of 4 large cups from the famous French brand Arcopal (embossed "Arcopal France" stamp under the cups). They are quite rarely found in this format, the small model is more easily found. They are made of "opal" glass, manufactured by a specific process, developed by Arcopal in the 50s or 60s, which makes it very resistant to shocks, thermal shocks too. This model or decoration is called "Volcano", it was created in 1970. The glass is tinted in the mass in a mustard caramel color which makes it opaque and the cups have raised grooves in rings all around the cup. This is one of the models that I prefer from Arcopal, because it does not have a printed decoration which could alter over time; the color, which is very 70s, nevertheless remains completely in the air of time; the marks of use, when there are any, are very little visible. A model that will please Arcopal collectors and even more so those who are not; ) These cups are in very good condition, almost no scratches on the bottom, the only defect, which is perhaps an original defect, are two micro-abrasions, very light on the rim of two cups. They measure 9.5 cm in diameter, 12 cm in width including handle, 8 cm in height.
