Kandem table lamp model 745

Rare black kandem table lamp model 745 with slanted enamel lampshade. This table lamp was produced between 1930-1939 by körting & mathiesen in leipzig. The german lamp manufacturer kandem was founded in 1889 in leipzig. This type of table lamp was mainly used in workshops and factories. And was usually mounted on a workbench or lathe. When this lamp came to us it was pretty battered. The traces of this can still be seen a bit at the slanted enamel hood. We have stripped this lamp, mounted it on a round metal base and provided it with a satin black lacquer. The lamp has of course been rewired with black twisted fabric cord. The bakelite fitting is original with a rotary switch in the hood. On the back of the hood is also the kandem logo. A beautiful bauhaus classic that you don't often see. Perfect to use as a desk lamp, mood lamp, table lamp or night lamp! H 49 / w 45 / d 15.
