The ercuis factory is an important french goldsmith's house founded in 1867 and still in operation today. It is known for its production of cutlery and tableware in silvered metal (silvering). at the end of the nineteenth century, it benefited from the strong development of silvered metal goldsmithing with more than 300 workers in 1892.
