Period victorian bed, in black wrought iron and brass, attractive casts, brass rosettes circled with iron, round brass buttons, decorative details on transfer and casters. The victorian era corresponds to the years of reign of victoria I of the united kingdom (june 1837 to january 1901). As in france with the napoleon III style, considered eclectic, this style is based on a resumption of the styles of yesteryear, ornamentation takes a prominent place in the decorative arts, victorian furniture retains from the neo-gothic style dark colors, an elaborate work of sculpture and an abundant decoration. It represents a period of peak for the country, especially in terms of economic prosperity. Very nice patina, in good condition and solid, a small ball missing. Extremely easy to assemble, just fit the 4 pieces. This bed accepts a mattress and a box spring of 90 X 190/195. A second identical bed is available.
