Pirkka stool, ilmari tapiovaara, 1950s

"pirkka" model occasional stool by finnish designer ilmari tapiovaara (1914-1999), produced by laukann puu in the 1950s. Its curved, stained and varnished seat rests on a black painted four-legged base. Some signs of wear and paint loss on the wood, but in good overall condition. A classic of scandinavian design. The wood shows some rubbing, but the stool remains in good overall condition.
