Pair of WMF Art Nouveau candlesticks circa 1910

An elegant pair of Art Nouveau/Jugendstil candlesticks made by the prestigious German manufacturer WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) circa 1910–1915. These candlesticks, made of silver-plated metal (I/O silver plating), exhibit a typical Jugendstil aesthetic: • openwork uprights with vertical lines, • carved laurel wreath, • geometric motifs, • architectural base highly representative of WMF. The hallmarks on the underside of each piece are: • WMF ostrich in a cartouche, used from June 1, 1910, • the letter B (alloy), • the marking I/O (high-quality silver plating), • the model number 415, confirming authenticity.
