Console by Sergio Ponzio IV, patinated metal and strings, circa 1970

A unique sculptural console table by sergio ponzio iv, created in the early 1970s in italy. The top and frame of the console table are made of patinated metal, with two large wooden legs wrapped in ropes. This sculptural and original piece recalls the later works of elizabeth garouste and mattia bonetti. Sergio ponzio was influenced by nerone ceccarelli, gruppo np2, and victor cerrato, all famous artists from turin. Fully cleaned and restored, the table is in very good vintage condition.
