Italian extendable round table from the 60s/70s

Splendid and rare extendable dining table circa 1970. Italian design table, inspired by art deco but completely in the hollywood regency style of its time, in particular the taste of the productions of the emblematic designer willy rizzo. Model with central base composed of 4 chromed aluminum barrels resting on a chocolate brown lacquered wood base, itself surrounded by chromed aluminum and supporting a magnificent top in varnished mahogany burr with a chocolate brown lacquered band which opens to deploy a butterfly extension of the same wood. Closed, the top measures 116 cm in diameter, 153.5 cm wide and 116 cm deep with extension. The table is 74.5 cm high with a 7.5 cm headband. The base finally measures 64 cm in diameter. The table is in superb condition, we will only note a scratch in the varnish on the upper edge of the top, see last photo, and a few micro-scratches on the base, all without impact on the general aesthetics. This very high quality table will easily accommodate 4 to 6 guests. It will bring crazy class to your dining area whether the decor is modern or more classic. A piece not to be missed!!!.
