Pair of Wall Lights with Parrot in Moulded Glass and Crystal with Two Arms of Light

Each wall light is centred with a carved moulded glass parrot, set on a cut-cornered cone dressed in mirror and finished with a golden shell base. On either side, two golden brass arms of light flourish in leafy scrolls adorned with crystal flowers and faceted pendants, each receiving a bobèche with a scalloped collar and a candle-style sleeve. The crystal bird against a mirror background is one of the most famous motifs of the Baguès House, the renowned Parisian firm of bronze and gilded brass lighting whose creations, sought after since the interwar period, embody neoclassical taste.
