Carved wooden coffee table, Chinese craftsmanship.

Beautiful coffee table fully decorated, hand-painted and lacquered by Chinese artisans from the mid-20th century. This living room table belonged to my grandparents. It depicts a scene of traditional life from ancestral China. Six characters, including the emperor and empress, accompanied by servants, meet a fisherman. They are made from hard stones, carved and sculpted in different colours, adding depth. This piece is protected by glass. There are carvings around the belt of this table, which rests on curved legs ending in claws. Height 42 cm, width 101.5 cm, depth 50.5 cm. It shows signs of use due to its age, see photos.
