Medieval style heraldic wrought iron chandelier

Rare decorative wrought iron chandelier depicting a heraldic shield adorned with nine castles, a reference to the coat of arms of Castile (Spain), an emblem of medieval history. It is topped with a stylized crown, and suspended by two sturdy hand-forged chains. The side arms accommodate four bayonet bulb sockets, reminiscent of old candelabras. Ideal for Gothic, rustic, historical or castle style decoration or even a games room... Handcrafted piece, probably made in the second half of the 20th century. Warm patina, very good condition.
