Created by nelson georges in the 1950s, these lamp bubbles are terribly gold design. Ours is an old edition, probably the 70s, the coating is the model patented by nelson: a kind of japanese paper mixed with plastic that gives an impression of cotton paper. Slightly damaged in one place, see photo, but very good general condition.
