Set of 19 "Smoke" glasses designed by Joe Colombo in 1964 to hold the glass and cigarette in the same hand. Crafted from hand-blown crystal by Claus Joseph Riedel in Austria. The base of the glasses is signed CJ Riedel on one side and Joe Colombo on the other. Made from fine crystal, each glass features a delicately curved bowl, designed to enhance the aromas and flavors of red and white wines. This creation belongs to the historic Smoke collection. The distinctive asymmetrical stem is designed to ensure a stable and secure grip, allowing you to sip your wine comfortably without sacrificing the pleasure of a cigar or cigarette. The balance between design and practicality makes the Smoke glass a distinctive accessory for those who appreciate the pleasure of tasting. Perfect for enriching any glassware collection, it is ideal for formal dining as well as for relaxing moments, adding class to any occasion. Joe Colombo (1930-1971) was one of the greatest Italian designers and architects. Although he died prematurely, his objects are still considered in the field of contemporary design for their function, aesthetics and technological innovation.
