Very beautiful and iconic pair of chairs. Model no. 1-793 created in 1926 by designer Max Ernst Haefeli and produced by the Swiss manufacturer Horgen Glarus (labels under the seats, see last photos). It is historically the first architect's chair in Switzerland and is now part of the permanent collection of the Zurich Design Museum. Still produced today by hand on request by Horgen Glarus, this is the finish no. 1-790 with a streamlined plywood seat dating from the 1950s. Completely inspired by the Bauhaus movement, its minimalist lines make it a timeless chair. Made entirely of varnished beech, it measures 82 cm high at the back, 46 cm at the seat, 40 cm wide at the front and 42 cm at the back, and finally 50 cm in total depth. In superb used condition with a beautiful patina and its few marks of time, this pair of chairs will bring a lot of warmth and a true design touch to your interior. Not to be missed!!!
