Camel saddle stool

Camel saddle stool — Vintage Orientalist, mid-20th century. An item that is not easily found anymore: this handcrafted camel saddle stool, of Egyptian or Moroccan origin, likely dates from the 1950s–60s. The seat, made of natural hair — freeform and asymmetrical, with black piping — rests on four legs made of stained mahogany wood, reinforced with rivets and brass medallions. It can be used as a footrest, an occasional stool, or simply as a decorative piece placed on the floor. It fits well in both a bohemian interior and a sleek contemporary living room.
