Pair of wall lights by Claus Bolby

Today rarely found as a matching pair, a set of 2 Danish wall lamps No 217 designed in the 1960s by Claus Bolby. This set was produced by the company Lyskaer Belysning. The lamps consist of overlapping bands of yellow acrylic resin, with some dark brown bands embedded beneath the surface. Small bubbles trapped in the resin bands add texture and light effects when the bulbs are lit. The acrylic faces of the lamps are mounted on aluminium frames that hold the bulb and feature a hole at the back for easy attachment to a nail or hook. The lamps are fitted with sockets and work with small bulbs (see photos). Dimensions: height 19 cm X width 12.5 cm X depth 8 cm. Price for the pair.
