Distinctive vintage NAPAKO Space Age pendant light, produced in Czechoslovakia during the 1970s. The fixture features a bold rounded silhouette combining a cream lacquered metal dome with a wide brushed brass lower section. Its spherical, architectural form and contrasting materials strongly reflect the futuristic Space Age aesthetic that influenced European lighting design during the 1960s and 1970s. Three slender chains suspend the large shade from the upper fitting, creating an elegant floating effect. The brushed brass develops a warm golden tone that contrasts beautifully with the ivory-cream lacquered surface. When illuminated, the open underside directs a warm pool of light downward, making the pendant particularly suitable above a dining table, kitchen island or as a statement fixture in a living room or entrance hall. The light remains in good vintage condition with minor signs of age and use and natural patina to the metal surfaces, consistent with its age and visible in the photographs. The electrical components have been renewed. Fitted with one E26/E27 socket and compatible with US electrical systems.
