Stunning bubble or high-end recessed wall appliques by helena tynell for glash-tte limburg, germany, 1960s. Lights up beautifully. Made of shiny amber glass with a brass-colored base. A design classic, hand-blown glass in amber color gives a wonderful warm glow. It can be used as a wall applique or as a ceiling light. The lamp requires a single e27 bulb to screw (60 watts max.) helena tynell is a finnish glass and ceramic designer. She was a student at the helsinki school of the arts between 1943 and 1946. She was one of the most influential designers of the finnish glass company riihimki lasi. His work was exhibited from 1954 to 1960 m (12 editions) at the triennale in milan, zurich, amsterdam and london. She has worked as a freelance designer for flygsfors, bega leuchten, glash-tte limburg and fostoria glass.
