Vintage Jumo lamp model Compta circa 1950

Rare model "compta" industrial design collection, reserved for the offices of administrative heads, "accounting" service. This desk lamp has a double articulation as well as a swivel lampshade allowing a 360° orientation of the light. Its base is heavy and thus allows perfect stability to change the orientation of the lighting without moving the lamp. In grooved lacquered steel water green color, with a folded aluminum lampshade with chrome sides of typically "streamline" shape of art deco, in the shape of an aerodynamic aircraft wing. Chrome steel barrel also grooved also allowing its good grip. From the french brand jumo. This name comes from the contraction of the surnames of the two founders of the company: yves jujeau and pierre and andré mounique. It was created in 1940, based in bagnolet in the suburbs of paris, it mainly produces luminaires until the 80s inspired by art deco and of high quality. Over the years, jumo has developed a range of articulated lamps for offices and workshops. None of their models have names. Today highly sought after for their industrial design, these lamps are easily recognizable. This model resembles the n71 but is much rarer. The n71 is easily found, available in many colors and versions, but this model exists only in almond green to my knowledge. State: entirely original, it is not released, in very good condition for its age. Some traces of wear on the paint of the deflector and also on the base. Traces of shock on the chrome sides of the deflector, and also on the green part (see photos). The joint has a little play but this does not influence the correct position of the lamp. Inside the deflector the sheet metal is folded in certain places. Two standard e14 sockets, brass and ceramic, led compatible. 5kgs.
