Mid-Century Lounge Chairs by František Jirák for Tatra, 1960s, Set of 2

This set of two armchairs was designed in the 1960s by Czech designer František Jirák and manufactured by Tatra. The armchair frame is made of beech wood, and the armrests are made of bent oak plywood. The wooden elements have been professionally and carefully restored by removing old coatings, staining and finishing with varnish. The seat and backrest have been re-upholstered with a beige, woolen fabric resembling in its texture the materials originally used in the 1960s. Seat height: 43 cm.
